Another southern Minnesota native, Colton Ward, has been in the construction management field for almost 10 years now. He earned a degree in building trades technology at Lake Area Technical College. Soon after this, he moved to begin working on custom home builds in South Dakota. At the start of Capital Construction's rapid growth in 2016, Colton switched gears to become a project manager here. Today, he is a senior project consultant and a great role model for newer sales employees joining the team.
One of his favorite parts of the job is helping homeowners navigate the insurance claim process and ensuring that clients receive fair settlements. When he isn't helping homeowners, Colton is with his wife and daughter. His favorite thing to do is fish and relax by the water.

The whole process was very easy. Colton came to the house and all the way through he took care of the process and made it very painless for me. Awesome Service of our Storm Damage Claim
We had a great experience working with Capital on our hail damage claim. In particular, the company’s rep Colton was a pleasure to work with. He supervised our claim from beginning to end and did an outstanding job. He worked with our insurer to make sure our damage was properly covered and timely paid. He was great at explaining things as the project proceeded. We had our roof replaced, new fascia, new windows and some siding work done. Capital’s crews were organized, experienced and timely. All in all, very happy with the result.

Excellent Workmanship
Last month we had our 2nd full roof replacement in 4 years. In both cases we used Capital Construction and once again, they did an excellent job. Colton Ward handled everything for us (once again) and we are very pleased with the outcome. Timely and efficient. Hopefully we won't need another roof for many more years, but if we did, I would never hesitate on calling Colton to help us again.

Our roof was damaged in a hail storm. Colton from Capital Construction worked with our insurance agent for approval to repair the roof. This was a long process and Colton was very helpful in working with the insurance adjuster. Colton was professional in all his communications and took the time to make sure the insurance company processed the claim correctly. He was available for all of our questions. Colton and his team did excellent work in replacing our roof and gutters. The work was done quickly. The new roof looks great! Roof Replacement
We had a great experience with our roof replacement after hail damage. Capital Construction handled all the interactions with the insurance company, including adjustments to their assessment. From the first contact to completion, Colton shepherded us through the process, keeping us informed, explaining what to expect, and handling a lot of details. When we requested some aesthetic rework to accommodate the sag in the valleys of our old house, their experts proposed a solution and the crew came out and did the rework--no problem. A hailstorm came through and battered the roof, gutters, and siding. Capital visited us soon after we called them and set everything in motion with the insurance company, fighting successfully for more coverage. They were timely and communicative, despite dealing with a huge number of properties that also got hit. They also corrected several problems with the original roof/gutter setup that a previous contractor had denied making.

Great attention to detail!
Great roofing experience with these guys following hail storm of last year. Colton risked life and limb climbing onto my house roof three stories high to challenge insurance company initial determination there was no damage. Also made great recommendations on gutter installation which prevents old problems with where water would pool around house foundation. Five stars!
Storm damage
We had storm damage in August of 2021. Colton was the project manager for the job. We ended up getting a new roof, siding, and garage doors due to the damages from the storm. Colton communicated well throughout the project. He also made sure we got everything we wanted. I would definitely recommend Colton and Capital Construction.

Wonderful
Capital Construction re-roofed my house and they did a beautiful job. They educated me on the process and answered all of my questions. I especially appreciate how clean they were. I didn't see a remnant of a tile or roofing nail anywhere! I look up everyday and admire the color and quality of the new roof. They matched the flashing around the chimney and the water diverter to the roof. All vents are on the backside of the roof. Not visible to the front of the house.
